Ann is a FCMA fully qualified accountant with more than 30 years’ experience in property, having held finance director (FD) positions at Crest Nicholson, Tilfen Land and Sunley Estates. Her extensive background sees her specialise in forecasting and budgeting, strategic planning, treasury management and raising finance through various channels, together with running the accounts team and internal audit functions. Ann now provides FD services and non-executive services to small companies alongside running Day Associates with Kevin Day. She is, amongst other areas, responsible for new business, strategic planning and HR within the company.

Kevin has three decades’ experience in the property sector. He set-up Day Associates – where he is responsible for the surveying side of the business – with Ann Day in 2003 and the company has grown year-on-year. Kevin manages the surveying team together with garnering new business and maintaining relationships with our current portfolio of clients. He specialises in all aspects of surveying in the residential, commercial and retail sectors including working with housing associations, care homes and block management companies.

Jenni Hazelden

Jenni has 25 years’ experience in business administration having worked for large corporates, small operations and within the charity sector. She has worked with Day Associates since 2013 and is responsible for all aspects of office administration in addition to supporting the directors and senior management team. Jenni is also involved in the marketing, business development and client liaison sides of the consultancy’s varied and growing portfolio.

Gary has more than 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, primarily in building and quantity surveying working with housing associations, local authorities and property consultants in the private sector. A member of the Chartered Institute of Building, Gary’s vast knowledge and experience covers new build housing and the refurbishment and maintenance of existing properties; preparing and implementing planned and cyclical maintenance programmes; dealing with defect surveys and reports and providing technical and contractual advice. He also works across all aspects of contract administration, project management, quality assurance and managing stock condition surveys.

Richard qualified as a chartered building surveyor in 1984. In his career he has covered nearly every aspect of building surveying from new build to major refurbishment and repair projects on behalf of institutional investors and developers, before specialising in more recent years in professional work covering party wall matters, dilapidations, licensing and project management.

Annie joined the Day Associates Team in June 2023 as an Administrator, with 10 years of admin and diary management experience behind her, she is there to help the team and customers whenever required. Annie is efficient, friendly, and keen to build long-lasting relationships with clients.

Stephen Jeremy BSc (Hons)

Stephen graduated from Westminster University and has more than 20 years’ experience in the construction industry primarily in building surveying, project management, asset management and general property consultancy services. He has worked with housing associations, local authorities, Ministry of Defence, charities and FTSE 100 companies as well as international businesses. Stephen’s experience encompasses domestic, non-domestic and commercial work, including new build; refurbishment and maintenance creating; implementing and managing planned and cyclical maintenance; health and safety landlord compliance; contract administration; project management; stock condition surveys; procurement, and a wide range of other property and asset management services.

Mark has significant experience in property Investment, development, construction, conservation, and refurbishment. His key strengths are:

  • Project Management and capital delivery
  • Procurement
  • Building Pathology and problem solving


He has had extensive experience in business management reviews of operational procedures and effectiveness, introducing robust tender processes and implementing more efficient and coordinated sourcing, successfully executing on a range of asset-based investments. During his career, Mark has worked as a specialist across all property sectors, managing investment portfolios, rationalising stock and disposing of ground rent investments via administration processes. Additionally, he has managed and implemented numerous stock condition surveys in social housing and local authority held portfolios. As part of his CPD, Mark has just successfully qualified as a Fire Risk Assessor.
