world of professional services, brand reputation is a currency of its own. It is now widely recognised a powerful brand attracts clients, secures top talent, and inspires trust. Amongst the professions, the leading accounting firms have been at the forefront of brand building, investing millions to establish a brand advantage.<br \/><br \/><\/h6><h5>Survey methodology and findings<\/h5><p>Our survey, the second in our professional services benchmark series, surveyed 302 respondents in the UK, split between:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Graduates <\/strong>studying or aspiring to work in accountancy (34%),<\/li><li><strong>Clients <\/strong>selecting accounting services (32%), and<\/li><li><strong>Accounting professionals <\/strong>working in practice (34%).<br \/><br \/><\/li><\/ul><p>Respondents were drawn from a paid research panel to ensure representation across firm sizes and career stages.<br \/><br \/><\/p><h5>Brand matters<\/h5><p>The findings underscore the critical importance of brand reputation in securing new business, with 84% of clients deeming it critical when considering which firm to appoint. Brand is also an essential consideration for prospective recruits, with 86% of graduates and 88% of accounting professionals saying brand reputation is extremely important when choosing a firm.<\/p><p>To underscore this, when asked what the single most important factor is when you are considering appointing an accounting firm, a staggering 29% of clients said brand reputation.<br \/><br \/><\/p><h5>The top performing brands<\/h5><p>The survey asked respondents to rank \u2013 unprompted \u2013 who they considered to be the top five accounting firm brands with the strongest brand reputation. This question is perhaps the toughest but most realistic assessment of brand performance as it takes into consideration both front of mind brand awareness as well as reputation.<\/p><p>The findings reveal the top-performing brands, including PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, and EY, dominate perceptions among clients and professionals alike.
